Downtown is a band formed by four members from Naples whose passion for blues music takes them to tour Italy and parts of Europe. Nowadays Downtown is dedicated to the most thrilling live music events in Italy's music clubs. The Band was formed in 2011 after an encounter between Mario Federico (Guitar) and Alessandra Bene (Singer) with Mike Califano (bass) and Gianpaolo Feola (Drums) of Carvin Jones Band,chosen as best European Blues Band by american magazine “Guitarrist”. With a repertoire from Texas Blues to Blues/rock, through the timeless classics, touching the repertoire history of blues in all its genres, bringing in their live performances all the purity of this kind of music. The Band has been the protagonist of important events such as being headliners of the "Cin Cin Run", the Harley Davidson's XI and XII Internacional get togheter meetings in which they had a great success with over 5000 spectators. In june 2012 Downtown on tour around Spain culminated in the “I Benicŕssim Blues Festival” where the band with their brilliant performance delighted the public and achieved great notoriety. Each Downtown band member also works in world tours with many blues international artists .
